The Victoria Baroque Youth Orchestra presents their spring programme: “Meeting Mozart” from his first piano composition at the age of five through his Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, his operatic collaboration with da Ponte, and to his final Requiem.
This programme welcomes special guest artists the Cowichan String Academy, the Artistry & Outreach vocal ensemble, provincial award winning pianist Ashley Pepper, and soloists Eve Daniell (soprano), Ciara Beaudin (mezzo soprano), and Kyron Basu (baritone).
The concert will be presented twice: a 4pm performance for children will share a shortened programme in a relaxed setting. It will have interactive elements including art projects for audience members to work on while they listen.
The 7pm performance will present the full programme in all its Mozartean joy.
